Exploring Different Prayer Styles
If you're someone who enjoys prayer, you may have experienced a season in your life where your prayer style was no longer effective. This can happen due to a change in your environment, your spiritual journey, or God calling you to a deeper level of intimacy with Him. To help you find a prayer style that suits your life right now, here are five prayer styles you can choose from:
1 . Praying Throughout The Day
This type of prayer is for those who like to pray in the moment and pray short prayers. Small prayers during the day allow you to stay connected to God. If something comes to mind, pause and pray for it. Prayer doesn't have to be long and drawn out. Sometimes the best prayers are short and direct.
2 . Time-Block Prayer
This can be for one hour in the morning or evening (or both) or for certain times throughout your day. For example, you can block out time to pray for 10 minutes every 3 hours. However you decide to pray, this is a great way to build a relationship with God.
3. Use Prayer Templates
This type of prayer is great for beginners. If you're someone who likes to read their prayers. You can find templates online, to help you. When you’re confident enough, you can start writing your own.
Prayer can be out loud or in your head; it can also be wherever you are at that moment.
4. Prayer Using Scripture
Speaking God’s word back to Him is a great way to remember scripture. It is also a strategy many people use when they are not sure what to pray for. Scriptures have a way of inspiring you to pray. So if you're not sure where to start, Find a scripture that connects with you and use it to pray. Here is an example of what that looks like;

5. Prayer Through Worship
When you sing or read the lyrics to a song, it has the ability to shift the atmosphere inwardly and outwardly. So pay attention to the words you speak, because not all songs are from or to God.
Remember, prayer is personal, and finding a style you're comfortable with may take time. You may also want to consider your learning style, as it can impact the way you pray. Whether you're a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner, there's a prayer style that will work for you.
